CYP baby!!

If you haven't heard already through the posse, Bryson and I are going to have a baby! I'm currently 14 weeks and due in January. Which also means I'll be huge at Kimmy and Ryan's wedding and then at Kim and Dan's we'll have a 6 week old baby! Crazy! Check out my blog, I posted about it!

hey guys

so , im finally graduated wooooot!!!

i had my thesis show in april it went really well, it was  alot of work and i am glad its over but i'll start missing it soon i know. ( go to my blog http://looktooshy.blogspot.com/2009/05/thesis-2009.html)

Plans for the summer-

My lease is up july 31st so it looks like im houston bound come august, it will be great to see yall more often, well those in houston. i think dustinn and i are looking to get a place and i also need a job, so if anyone knows where i can get a sweet cook job that would be sweet....sweet!

i plan on looking at culinary schools and maybe relocate to austin or dallas ( i dont think houstons culinary selections are that good, we'll see though) anyway i'll pop my head in and out this summer so i'll be shouting at ya.

SOoooo it finally happened! Ryan and I got engaged earlier today. Most of you already know I believe since we've talked with you either in person or on the phone. Just wanted to post about it in case! Talk to you all soon!!!

Today is Maundy Thursday, also known as "Holy Thursday". Now I've always heard of this day as "holy thursday", mostly because of my catholic upbringing. but never Maundy Thursday. I've looked it up and they basically mean the same thing and this is my other findings of it...The word “Maundy” is derived from the Latin word for “command.” The “Maundy” in Maundy Thursday refers to the command Jesus gave to the disciples at the Last Supper, that they should love and serve one another.

So what is it? It's the day we celebrate Jesus instituting Passover/Last Supper with his disciples. Two events are focused on:

One this remembrance day we recognize Jesus celebrating the Last Supper...also called Communion. Luke 22: 19-20 "And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Second is Jesus washing the disciples feet as an act of humility and service. Setting an example to love and serve others with love. In those days, you wore sandals and walked a lot. So you're feet were really dusty and gross!

I've never actually "celebrated" Maundy Thursday before, other than maybe going to mass with my parents. Every Thursday we have "Family Dinner" with the Fireseed Intentional Housing Community in our neighborhood. Because we've been observing Thursday nights, as "family night" we thought we would include a celebration of Maundy Thursday. So as always all 13 of us will eat dinner together, followed by the scripture reading of the Last Supper and then Communion. Then other scripture reading and instead of washing feet, we will be washing each other's dinner plates. And end with a hymn...

Brian- I dont think I'll be able to make it to Nac for your senior show. But that's awesome you're the only 3D design major! I've been to a few senior shows at TxState and loved them all! I hope it all turns out great! For watching Bryson prepare for his, I know they can be stressful, but enjoy your last semester! I'd love to see what you've been working on! And hope to see you soon...BAM!

Kimmy- Thanks for writing that to let us read. I'm not just saying "thanks" for me, but thank you for going back there to that moment and sharing it or even attempting to write about it for us to be there with you. I love you too :) I'm always here for ya!...and I get to see you this weekend!
